Hi everyone I am new the the forum but have been researching and using it for years. My family and I currently live in Seattle however I was born in Lenoir and raised in Winston Salem. Mostly because we want to live in a more affordable area ( average house price in the city we currently live in is roughly $500,000 for a 3 bedroom 2 bath 1,300-1,600 square feet & a TINY lot) and other factors as well. We have thought about relocating to North Carolina. I am more interested in the Raleigh area. My wife is deaf so it is important to us that the city we move to has a fairly good size active deaf community. One of our deciding factors a few years ago for not moving back to Winston-Salem is the fact that their deaf community was almost non exsistant, it was there but not very active. So my question is does any one have deaf or hard of hearing family members or know of deaf hoh events, gatherings in the Raleigh area? If so do you know the names of any deaf organizations in Raleigh?
