Anyone who says bugs and heat go away here in NC starting in September clearly don't have a clue. Sure, there might not be any 110 heat index days anymore, but there are plenty of days over 90 in most of September, and the mosquitos will be out till Thanksgiving almost, though they will start to reduce by October. "Fall" weather here in NC really doesn't start till about mid October.

Yeah but I'll just be happy with the heat index reduction...

Was no bargain here this year either. At least 30 days of 90+ and I really cant feel a difference between the low or high 90's. We also had heat indexes in the 100's.

AND...after the record snowfalls this past year, we were ready to sweat

I spent last week in Minneapolis... highs ranged in the mid 90s with a fair amount of humidity too. Big thunderstorms and torrential rain in the evenings.... felt like the tropics.
Felt like home ...

I think the mosquitoes were worse in Grafton MA. We never could be outside at dusk there.
