I'm about to move to the Raleigh area and think I have decided to settle in Hillsborough. Is Churton grove the only division with a pool/playgrounds etc and do you need to live there in order to join or can you live on say, Cameron estate and just pay a fee to enjoy the amenities at Churton grove? We're from England and I think I will shrivel up and die in the NC heat without a pool
Any advice on a good place to raise 3 young children in or around Hillsborough would be most appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Sarah

We live in Churton Grove but we also looked in Cameron Estates, the rep at Cameron Estates had told us you could join the pool club at Churton Grove for a fee.

The management company for Churton Grove is CASNC.com, they could likely confirm or deny this for you.

Hillsborough is a terrific town. There really aren't many subdivisions other than Churton Grove and Cameron Estates. If you wanted a larger property of an acre or more there are a couple of horse estates, Red Hill Farm and Fox Hill Farm where you could also buy and have your own pool put in.

Default Thank you.

I have just e-mailed them now. Would you mind if I asked a few more questions?
Do you like Churton grove and what made you choose it over Cameron estates? Does Cameron estates have any playgrounds, biking paths etc like Churton grove or is it just housing? How is the traffic in both divisions? I have 3 kids, ages from 5 to 13 and 2 dogs so I'm looking for a place we can all run and play

Cameron Estates is nice, but it is really just a small collection of homes. Nice homes though, by a local builder in St Lawrence Homes. There really isn't anything else though...

We love Churton Grove, also have 3 kids near the same ages as yours. Much more room at Churton Grove, most lots are .5 acre and up. Walking/biking trails throughout, very wide treelined streets, pool, clubhouse, playground basketball and tennis court.

The newest phase, rumor has it, will also have a nice soccer field.

We fell in love with the feel of the neighborhood, lots of kids, all ages. Good size lots, big yards and more trees than you will see anywhere, I think, in a subdivision. The developer has really restricted the number of trees that can be cleared on each lot.

Both neighborhoods are very close to downtown and the elementary school, Cameron Park, is fantastic.

Happy to answer any other questions you might have
