Camping: Falls Lake vs. Jordan Lake
We will be in the Triangle next month for an extended weekend and plan on camping at one of the two parks. The primary purpose of the trip is to spend some time visiting neighborhoods in Durham and Raleigh. We won't spend a great deal of time at the park during daylight hours, so we really won't have time to take advantage of the amenities.
Which park would be more convenient going to/from the downtown area's of both Durham and Raleigh?
TIA!

I would recommend Falls Lake due to the easy access to both Raleigh and Durham downtowns via routes 98 and 540...

Depends on which part of Durham. Jordan Lake is much closer to South Durham.

Northern and southern sections of both cities. Looking at possible neighborhoods to move to in the future.
I've been to both parks in the past, but without any specific destinations so I never really paid attention to time or distances. All I needed to do was be back before the gates closed for the night!
I have a feeling that Falls Lake is the better choice, but I'm much more familiar with the area around Jordan Lake, and I also have a feeling we'll spend more time in and around Durham.
