Hi, wondering if folks have a suggestion for a good and affordable GRE prep class preferably in the CH area, or Durham would also be a possibility. Hoping to return to school next year, 11 years after getting my undergrad... as long as I can get a decent score on the GRE .
thanks!

When I took the test many years ago, I used Stanley Kaplan to prepare. What a shock when I checked their website and the GRE prep courses now range from $449-999!!!!

The Learning Center (UNC-CH Distance Learning) offers a much more reasonably priced course - $150 + textbook. I would check them out! Good luck!

I didn't do a class, but found Cracking the GRE, 2010 Edition by the Princeton Review to be very helpful. (There's now a 2011 edition.) Most helpful were the tips it gave regarding how to take computerized tests, which is different from the paper standardized tests that I (and presumably you) also took. The review was helpful as well.
