They will deliver up to 20 yards free. Anyone use this before?

I didn't know about this, but I'd certainly be interested.

Details!? I found a guy who has a tree cutting business and, if you call him and are not in a hurry, he will deliver whatever he can to your house at no cost. No guarantee on contents, but makes great mulch for play areas or areas not critical for plants - such as natural areas.

Default Free Wood Chips

Wake Forest will deliver free wood chips but you have to keep an eye on their site because they do this only in the fall. I have them delivered every year but just be ready because it is a full large dump truck size load you have to take. They are mixed with other wood scraps like branches and cut up pine trees. I think 75% of what you get is good.
I call the sanitation dept in the fall and they will add you name to a list and then when they start to deliver they will call.

We get it every year. It is a rough mix, as the pp stated, best for natural areas. Translation- it is not uniform in size, color, or material. But, it breaks down over the year and amends the soil well. We put it down all over (the truckload easily covers the beds on our 1/4 acre lot, with tons to spare) then cover the "nicer" beds with store-bought mulch.

Thanks for the feedback- sounds like a little rougher material than I am looking for.
