Need ginger candy...health food store?
I'm looking for a health food store close to Wake Forest/North Raleigh. I need to find crystalized or candy ginger. I'm going through some pretty tough morning sickness so any recommendations would be much appreciated!

I bought some at Trader Joe's in Cary recently. I know that isn't right around the corner for you, but it's something!

I got mine at the Harris Teeter the last time I was there, so check there, I guess!

If all else fails you can also cut up fresh ginger and add it to carbonated water or plain water. That personally never worked for me, but I know several people who swear by it.

Harris Teeter, Trader Joes, Whole Foods and World Market all carry it.

Ginger tea worked really well for me. Just steep some fresh ginger in hot water and sweeten to taste. Also, Stash makes a nice ginger flavored tea that you might enjoy. Good luck. And just know, this too shall pass...

Ginger mints
Try some ginger mints called Meltzer's Puremints. I got them in Colorado but I think they sell all over as well as online. They are good and spicy - have real ginger and easy to take with me. I like fresh ginger tea also. www.puremints.com.

For affordable ginger candy, (as opposed to Whole Paycheck and such), I buy mine at the local Asian foods market. 79 cents for a four ounce package of lovely "crystallized ginger slices". Delicious and soothing for that upset tummy. Try your local Asian market. I find them great for buying interesting rice, spices, and rice noodle--all at affordable, non-trendy pricing. And no, I don't own one of these stores!

I feel your pain! I had it until 20 weeks with both kids. I used fresh ginger that I seeped in tea in the morning, but I also used preggie pops, which you can pick the flavor. They have drops now too, etc. Try googling them and you can find places that sell them as well.
