Default Knightdale, NC/Princeton Manors???

Hi! My boyfriend was offered a new position in the Raleigh area and has to start immediately. We ended up renting a house in the Princeton Manors area of Knightdale without seeing it in person (pictures only). We visited the Raleigh area a few months ago and it seems nice and have tons of research, but I haven't found too much about Knightdale except that the crime stats seem to be pretty good. Can anyone provide more detail as to what we'll be moving into?? Is it a pretty rural area?? Trees, ponds, grass? We're moving from FL and looking forward to a nice change of scenery. Any info is appreciated!

Princeton Manor has very nice high end homes. Maybe one of the more expensive neighborhoods in Knightdale.

It is somewhat rural; however, you aren't too far from shopping and there are a few new shopping areas off New Bern Avenue in Raleigh (maybe 2 to 3 miles away).

princeton Manor is 1 mile from me and i have friends there. It's a very nice quiet safe neighborhood. You will be very pleased with the home, they are all custom built, and nice details. It is on Hodge Rd which is a 2 lane road running from hwy 64 business/aka Knightdale Blvd to the 64 bypass and on to Poole Rd which is very rural with some hi end homes and mid priced neighborhoods near Hodge.

Where Hodge intersects with business 64 there is a new Duke medical facility and ER. 1/2 mile into Knightdale there is the same facility by UNC/Rex Hospital located at the I-540 exit and it is surrounded by new shops - Kohls, Best Buy, TJ Maxx, Target, Shoe Show, Home Goods type store, Home Depot, Dicks, Petsmart, Lowes Foods, Food Lion, Sears Outlet, and lots more as well as a mix of restaurants that are chain and indy. Another couple of blocks down there is a wal mart and more food places, car wash, Tractor supply, etc.. And, on 540 a 10 min drive max is the Triangle Town Ctr Mall with Old Navy, World Market etc.. It is 20 mins from downtown, North Hills with movie theatre- look this up, and Crabtree Mall and the airport.

Knightdale is actually a great location. People who don't live here and go by looking at a map assume it's too far from key places but it's not due to the great road system we have here, and there is less traffic and traffic moves faster than other areas of Raleigh.

If you like to canoe the Neuse River I can tell you where to enter it, and share where the local parks are. There's a nice country one 5 mins from Princeton Manor.

You are welcome! I think the greenway along the neuse links up to the one around crabtree valley? A friend who bikes it was saying it was close to opening up and that was a while back. Lots of neighbors hike and canoe the neuse around here. You can park in the Anderson Point Park off Rogers Lane and get into the water near the parking lot.

You will love it here!
