Hi, I'm looking to relocate to the Raleigh area within the next couple of months. I'm looking for a rental in a nice family oriented neighborhood, preferably on the outskirts of the city or suburbs. Are there any places I should avoid?

Holly Springs is a great place to live. Holly Glen is a great neighborhood that is family friendly and there area couple of rental homes in there now. Realtor.com has them listed.
