Last weekend my wife and I went on a Zipline Canopy Tour at a cool new place in Fayetteville called ZipQuest - ZipQuest Website

It was around $80 a person for a tour that takes about 2-2.5 hours with 8 different ziplines through the forest. You spend the entire time up in the trees using ziplines and suspension bridges to travel from tree platform to tree platform. Some are just short zips while the others are much longer, the longest zip is around 800 feet. WHen we went we were put with a group of 6 other people and had two great tour guides working with us on the tour. We had an awesome time! I highly recommend it if you are looking for something different to do on a nice fall weekend.

Here are a few pics from our trip:

What's the minimum age? That would be fun to take my son to, but he's only 5. He would love it.

Sorry, but it looks like he will need to wait a few more years. According to their website: "You must be at least 10 years old to zip and must weigh between 70 and 260 lbs."

Mike - It really was a lot of fun. The most fun I've had in a long while. It is an easy trip down from Raleigh too. Only took about an hour and fifteen minutes to get there. Might have to hit it again next year!

Here is a video I shot of a guy from our group zipping! Sorry about the poor quality. My camera is not that great at capturing videos.

This has to be Fayetteville WV, and not NC, right?

Beautiful area, great little town, next time you are there hit Cathedral Cafe for breakfast and Pies and Pints for dinner.

Looks like fun! We are closer to this one Richland Creek Zipline - Welcome (http://www.richlandcreekzipline.com/Richland%20Creek%20Zipline.aspx - broken link) I've been wanting to check it out!

When I studied Spanish in Costa Rica a few years ago we had plans to go on a zip line. Unfortunately, I didn't get to go because that was the day I got a really bad virus and was stuck in my five star hotel suite all day! (pretty ridiculous) I was so disappointed. BUT, I was able to do the "superman" zip line the week before that! I was so scared going up and waiting, but once you go it's so fun and actually relaxing! Here's a video I found online
