Default Photography spots from Rocky Mount surrounding areas to Raleigh

Looking for good photography spots for portraits... Wheat fields, rolling hills, water, farms, bridges, tracks ec. Even urban downtown suggestions are needed. Thanks in advance !

Check out downtown Nashville for a small urban feel. Its cute, clean, and has some hidden gems in the alleys off the sides. Also check with the historical home registry. I don't know if any of them are public, but it could be worth a shot. You could also try downtown areas in Rocky Mount, but I would only do this during the day. I've seen some great photos in and around the Expo center (I can't remember the actual name, but its downtown next to the old YMCA). There are train tracks all over Rocky Mount/Nashville - but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be careful. They may not look like it, but I'd say 95% of the tracks are still active.

City Lake is pretty, but again its a place to only go to during the day. And you can take some outside of Chico's, which was the old power plant. Battle Park (another day-only place) has some trails and such that take you down and around the Tar River.

There's the Whirligig Park/Acid Park in Wilson. I don't think the owner would mind, but I would check first.

You won't find wheat fields - its not grown here. You'll find sweet potato, soybean, and smaller amounts of tobacco. There are a couple of working farms that you can visit, that may allow professional photos to be taken. I'd start at Vollmer Farms, since there isn't an addmission to get in. Call them first to get their permission. You could also ride the back roads around Red Oak and find a field or two... I'd just avoid getting caught, or try to find out who the land belongs to.

If you want to come all the way in to Raleigh - check out the downtown here. You'd also like Yates Mill Pond - it has a working water mill and small waterfall. And there's the Raleigh Rose Garden - but I'd do this quickly. The blooms may be waning/falling off by this point.
