I use a salt system with ozonator. I don't use chlorine - the salt system generates its own. I do very little except empty the skimmer baskets, brush once in a while, and empty the Polaris bag. It keeps itself chemically balanced and clean and heated all automatically. It helps if you have a designated roof area where you can put the solar heating panels. I was adding a screened porch and was luckily able to redesign the roof just before they constructed it to hold my panels.

Wow!! Absolutely gorgeous! It's been almost 4 years...are you still happy with the pool itself, construction, maintenance, etc.? Any issues? Thanks!

If you mean me, the pool was only installed last year. Everything has been great and Pool Professionals stand behind it. I had some electronics issues with my iPhone interface to the controller (I'm a geek, I admit it) and they replaced it. Had some leaks due to overheating on some equipment that wasn't programmed properly, they fixed everything no questions asked.

Maintenance at first was more than now because when plaster is new it leaches into the water and requires acid to counterbalance it. that dies down over time and it's becoming more stable now. I add a bit of acid every week or so, and nothing else but brush and empty skimmers and Polaris bag.

The links above have more info than I posted here, but I'm happy to answer any questions if you have them. We love our pool.
