Hey everyone!

We moved here a few months back from WA State and live out in Wake Forest. My siblings are visiting and thought I would take them into Raleigh for dinner and drinks. Something casual like a Pub would be great. My wife and I have gone to Red Room and thought that was fun.

Any thoughts for favorite spots in-town?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Chris

The Oxford on Fayettville is a good pub right in the center of Downtown. The Hibernian on Glenwood Avenue is a really good Irish pub.

Solas Restaurant Lounge is pretty cool, not really a "casual pub" though www.solasraleigh.com I like to go to Oliver's Twist it's a tapas bar and sometimes they have belly dancers. It's off Creedmore so not to bad of a drive down 540. In Briar Creek my favorite restaurant is Brasa Steakhouse. It's a brazilian steak house where they bring the meat out on big skewers and slice it at the table. It's all you can eat and is about $35/person but it is worth it. Tir Na Nog is an irish pub downtown on Blount St. Shuckers in Wake Forest is awesome too, unless you are looking for something away from WF. Northhills has some really great restaurants too. There are too many to list really. Let me know if you have any other questions. I've been almost everywhere. Cheers!

Napper Tandy's is fun for karaoke and a nice bar crowd. If you like a lounge environment, Mosaic is a nice little wine bar.

The Hibernian is a SOLID pub

Also, the flying saucer is good. They are a beer only spot, and have a MASSIVE selection of beers.
