I have a couple of Australian visitors this weekend and we would like to sample Raleigh's nightlife tonight. We are thinking pub crawl. Looking at the suggestions on city-data, I have come up with the following. Any other suggestions?
1. Dinner at The Pit
2. Tir Na Nog
3. Raleigh Times
4. The Flying Saucer
5. Hibernian
6. --------
7. --------
8. Red Room
Any "must hit" bars? What about a fun restaurant closer to our starting point? Any other areas with a high concentration of bars besides Glenwood South?
How about a few drinks in the bar at the 42nd Street Oyster Restaurant and listen to the live music after leaving the Hibernian - it's always fun

I know it's probably too late, but if you are at Raleigh Times, you might as well hop (or crawl) across Hargett and a few doors down to Landmark. Remedy Diner is also nearby on the corner of Hargett and Blount. Around the corner onto Fayetteville St is also Foundation and Isaac Hunter's.
Thanks for all the suggestions...but we ended up starting with dinner at the The Oxford on Fayetteville St. and had so much fun we never left...Pooles Diner for Sunday brunch is another winner!
