I'm looking for good bars/restaurants for girls night out. We are a bunch of 30-something married w/kids ladies that like to go for drinks once a month or so and we are looking for places with a nice lounge area for us to go out, drink and talk. Not too loud. No clubs etc. Most of us are transplants and don't really know where to go. We've tried Chef Palette in Cary which is the perfect kind of place but we want to try something new each time. Was hoping for new ideas...We aren't looking to go too far so no Wake Forest or Downtown Raleigh....Let me know what some of your favorite places are!

Thanks

I know a similar group that goes to Connelley's (High House/Davis.) Also heard something about Tribeca Tavern.

Ditto on both, particularly Lucky 32.

In Holly Springs there's the Bass Lake Draft House and My Way Tavern.
In Cary, there's also Woody's and Spirits.
And if you want to venture into Fuquay, there's Bullfeathers, The Varina Sports Bar and The Aviator.

Love My Way and the Draft House! Esp since they are super close to where we are. I have heard of Lucky 32, that might be next on my list and My hubby likes Tylers but I was worried it might be too sportsy? So that's not the case? Thanks everyone!

Tyles in Apex is definitely not sportsy. It is the most restuarant like of all their places. Plus they always have the dining and bar area kind of seperate. In fact, if you want to watch sports somewhere, there are 20 places I would recommend above Tylers. I love Tylers though.

The lounge / bar area at Ruth's Chris in Cary is nice, but if your group is large, you may have trouble. Other thoughts: Stonewood Tavern & Grill or the Bavarian Brathaus (both in Cary).
