I need a small repair of my weight bar. One small metal piece needs to be welded. Any suggestions where should I go to take care of this small job? Body shops? Cary or Raleigh area.

Wake Tech's main campus has a welding program. Maybe you can ask if the instructor or one of the students can do it for you.

Performance Chassis in Cary (off Harrison Ave near the railroad tracks) can weld. Call them first as they can get pretty busy.

R&J Auto Repair will do it. They are on NC 55 just north of RT 1.

Just stop by any muffler shop. Before I purchased a welder and learned how to use it I would always take my stuff by one and never had any issues. A couple of times I brought the metal and told them what I needed fabbed, slipped them a 20, and 10 minutes later I was gone.
