construction just started on new subdivision in Rolesville that will have 3/4 acre lots and homes under 300k I believe.

It's located on the road headed east from the main downtown Rolesville intersection. Firestation is on this road.

Also saw sizeable shopping center under construction on 401 at rolesville with a Lowes supermarket on the way.

This is a beautiful corridor and it's about 5-10 minutes to 540 and capital blvd. You have everything Wake Forest offers 5 minutes away also.

10 minutes to Capitol at the 1/401 split which is Raleigh proper. Rolesville is much closer to everything than than the southern wake towns that everyone seems to love.

We will be moving to the Raleigh/Wake Forest area, hopefully soon. Do you know what style homes are being built in this new Rollsville area?
Thanks,
Pat

i apologize for starting this thread without enough information. Perhaps some of the agents here in the Ral/Dur/Chaphill forum know more.

i merely spotted a sign on the road when I visited my brother last week, and i thought the 3/4 acre lots advertised might interest some of you.

Do you know who the General contractor is for this project? Will they need any site fencing?

That area of Wake County is definitely heating up bigtime. Nice rolling country out there.

The Rolesville area is (was) a sleepy little town that time sort of forgot for a while. It's waking up now and would be great to get into. I think it will have good appreciation as it tries to catch up with everyone else. I'm sure it will have some growing pains, too, but that can't be avoided.

Yes, it's close to absolutely everything. I can make the airport in 35 mins from Rolesville. Super location (except that it's still in Wake County). Drive 3 miles down the road and you're in nice country just over the line into Franklin county.

We're in that nice country just over the line into Franklin county. Four years ago we bought just under three wooded acres, started building in April of last year, and moved in in October. It's our own little piece of heaven. Where we are it makes more sense to commute to Raleigh via 64, but since 540 has been extended, it's pretty easy to get anywhere we need.

Just a word of warning about 401 into Rolesville - it hasn't kept up with the rapid growth in the area yet. If you take 401 into Rolesville at around 5:00 on a weekday, you'll be sitting in traffic a bit.

That's one of the main reasons we eliminated Rolesville from our list. After sitting on 401 for a looooong time during our house hunt we pretty much gave up.
