I went to school with James Taylor and his brother Alex and his wife Brent all here at Chapel Hil High School. James wrote Sweet Baby James for his newborn nephew. Sadly Alex died some years ago I believe in Florida and I have been interested in where Brent and Sweet Baby James now live. Anybody have any ideas?

I don't know, but I'm such a HUGE James Taylor fan! Can I shake your hand, No Kudzu? I can't believe you went to school with him. It's not just his music I love, it's the aura...and what I assume is his personality.

Ouch! Any idea if the exhibits are still on display somewhere?

they are selling all the things in the museum. I know where James and his new family live. I was informed of Alex's death a long time ago and it is his son who is Sweet Baby James. My high school buddies don't know where they are either. I was hoping somebody here would know. I guess they want their privacy. James' whole family was very talented but also cursed with addictions and problems. I'm glad James has found some happiness.

Alex's widow pierced my ears with ice cubes and a sewing needle. What a nightmare! That was the way we did it back in the olden days....

Also Alexander Julian's brother Andy was the first drug OD I ever knew of. Pretty rare back in the 60's in Chapel Hill. Alot of people don't know he even had an older brother. His sister still lives in Chapel Hill.

Did Brent and/or Sweet Baby James attend UNC? I can look them up in the UNC alumni directory if so.

Oh thanks. I know Brent's mother was a nurse at UNC. I'll look for her maiden name. Have no idea if they went to any college. Alex died in Florida in 1993 at age 47.. He had a short musical career and sang back up with James in the early years. I know James would know but don't know how to contact him with such a personal question.
Google search says his widow at the time of his death lived in West Tisbury. Where is that, Mass or Florida. Brent would be in her 60's now. I know she has 4 granddaughters.
