We are brand new to the area and my son is enrolled in year round school.

I found a daycare I love for before and after school but they're not available for track out. Any suggestions for what you guys do for the Wake Forest area? So far I have the YMCA for an option and "camps" but don't know how to find specific ones. Any real ideas of what is used is greatly appreciated.

What do YOU guys do during the time that the kids are tracked out? As much as I'd like to think I could take vacation during that time, it's just impossible, he'll definitely need to go somewhere. I just need to know where. If you use the Y, how do you like it for tracking out? I understand that they still can be dropped off at Jones Dairy School and are bussed (sp?) into Kerr.

Suggestions and real advice on what YOU do is welcome!!!

Thanks!

I'm in WF also and we've used the Kerr YMCA and KidsrKids. We were not pleased at all with the Y. My son who was in kindergarten at the time was picked on and bullied by some older kids and the counselors never seemed to have a clue what was going on. KidsrKids in Heritage has been the complete opposite. My son had a great time there. Each week they have a different theme and do lots of fun activities. They also take the kids on field trips to places like the museum of life and science, natural science, marble space, planetarium, etc. The activity room where the kids are has a camera and you can view it via the internet. Gotta dance in WF also does trackout I think but we have never tried it. Good luck.

you are a wealth of info for me!

I originally called Kids R Kids but kind of disqualified them after visiting Primrose and finding out Primrose was $25/week less. I didn't even think of them for tracking out, I DEFINITELY will. Thanks for your experience with the Y, too, that's good info to have.

off to check Kids R Kids!!

thanks again!

anybody else?

My son had a ball at the Ice House at the Factory. If I recall, they were in line price-wise with the Y. Also a great option is Rocket Learning off Durant Rd. We did lots of their science camps, and the ladies who own it a great!
