If you're looking for high quality, fashion-forward (ok...expensive designer ) jeans in the Triangle, where are the best places to shop?

I'll second Belk's at Crabtree - I was astonished at some of the prices (I'm going to make the assumption that there's a correlation between quality and price, which could be a dangerous assumption!!).

I've heard good things about Magpie Boutique in Durham.

Oh I love Magpie! They don't have a HUGE jean selection, but everything they sell is high-quality. I got a fantastic dress there a couple weekends ago. I can't recommend this place enough!

Other places I like for jeans:
-Buckle. It's a chain store, but they consistently have my size (it's hard finding jeans that FIT right, and I can always count on Buckle to have my size in stock in either Big Star or Lucky brand!)
-Uniquities in Chapel Hill. Decent selection and friendly staff.
-Nordstrom. HUGE selection and a wide range of prices. I usually shop in the juniors department there, and jeans are really cheap if you buy them from the juniors department, but still decent quality. Or you can shop in the fancy jean area and spend a lot of money
-Belk at Crabtree. That Belk is huge! But usually very packed and it's hard to find someone to help you. Belk at Southpoint seems to carry much lower quality.

Nordstrom Rack across from Southpoint mall. They have the designer jeans and they have a seamstress on site for alterations. Also at that small little mall in Morrisville ( I forgot the name)...at the sak's outlet they have some.
