We too are Italians originally from Brooklyn, and definately feel like fish out of water living in Johnston County, I just posted a thread on here wondering if I made a big mistake moving here. It's a beautiful state but so lonely if you don't have family here, ( which we don't) we lived in South Florida for almost 30 years and moved here 3 yrs ago, still don't have a decent friend seems like we can't find the right age bracket most of the people we meet are much younger with school age children. It gets fustrating to say the least! Maybe we can start our own club LOL !! Drop a line to me if you like ! Good luck ! And Merry Christmas !

I just responded to your thread about moving here and BOY, is my wife Italian. Wanna buy a vowel? That makes my kids 1/2 Italian. I have the whole Pimsleur set of Italian lessons that I still need to get cracking on. Let me know who among you likes to EAT and maybe we can plan something.

For those who don't mind a bit of a drive out to Chapel Hill, the UNC Italian Club offers Italian conversation sessions as well as sometimes getting together for cultural events. It is not just students either, as many people from the CH/Carrboro community come out as well. Definitely something to look into if you're interested and we always welcome anyone interested in Italian!

Mi piace molto parlare l'italiano ma sfortunatamente non ho molto tempo per farlo perche sono una studentessa!

Please contact me and I can give you more information!!

Hi, we are not in Cary but Italian/American empty nesters, looking for friends that have some heritage in common would be cool. We are just over the Wake county line in Johnston County. Willow Spring to be exact. We are originally from NY, lived here for past 3 yrs. after living in Fl for almost 30 yrs. Drop a line if you want to chat !
