My husband and I are in the planning process of moving to the Raleigh area. My daughter will be starting Kindergarten next Fall and my twin boys will be 3.
I currently stay at home with my twin boys while my daugther is in Pre-K all day.
I'm wondering what we might be looking at for day care/preschool costs if I decided to return to work and put my boys in somewhere. I'm not quite sure if it would make sense for me to return to work..or just wait the 3 years until they would start Kindergarten (their bday is in November so they'd start a year later down there than they would up here).
I'm not sure what area we'd be in so I'm just kind of looking for numbers from all over. Would I be looking at $200 a week per child probably?
Please let us know what area of Raleigh and the kind of care you need (fulltime, half day, etc). The prices vary from neighborhood to neighborhood and services needed (full time, half day, lunch included, etc).
I know some daycare centers offer a discount on a second child.
Costs will vary by area and if you do in-home care vs. center, but $200 per week is a good upper-end estimate. You might even be fortunate enough to find a good place for about $150/wk for three year olds. I think that's what we paid in NE Raleigh when our daughter was that age two years ago and it was a VERY good center. She was more than prepared for kindergarten and still keeps in touch with her former teachers and "schoolmates". Every center I've ever dealt with offered small multi-child discounts.
At the Goddard School where our 3 year old goes, it is 1095/month (if they are fully potty trained). That is full time, 5 days a week. We love it there.

Glad to hear you love it there but how does your 3 year old like the place?
