As a life-long Methodist, I can say there have always been Christmas Eve services ON Christmas Eve in every church I've attended. Some even have more than one. Apex UMC has several, and I'm pretty sure one of them may be contemporary. It's been a while since we were in that church.

Garner UMC has 3. 5:00 for the children, 8:00 Lessons and Carols, 11:00 Watchnight.

I can't speak for the Baptists, but most of the other mainstream denominations hold Christmas Eve services ON Christmas Eve.

"most" churches in the "area" have "services" "on" Christmas Eve

"we" go to " Edenton Street" Baptist church

Now if you were looking for a restaurant "on" Christmas Eve , that would be a different ball game
