How is the parking?
Do we need to go real early to get a good seat? crowded?
how long lasts?
choir?

never been to services at Duke Chapel and since we have company I was thinking it might be fun. Any info to help us enjoy it more will be appreciated.

Parking is a piece of cake. There is a deck behind it down the hill and open spots there too. Their website should have a map or info. I doubt there will be anyone there to charge you to park but be prepared just in case. The one time I went on Christmas Eve it was crowded. I was 15-20 mins early and had to sit in the back row. Don't forget, they have a congregation of regulars - local residents, faculty and staff. Add to this visitors, it will be hopping It will be beautiful and well worth the visit!

PS - here's the parking link http://www.chapel.duke.edu/visit.html (broken link) it advises using the place I mentioned on Science Dr, the Bryan (student) Ctr.

Yeah, we're going. We went to a show at the Bryan Center and my daughter asked about the chapel and wanted to go. I've honestly never been inside so I thought we'd check it out on Christmas Eve. I think parking is fine, there's a huge deck right there.
