We are flying there this Friday to check out the different areas to see where we'd like to live. We are interested in looking at Holly Springs, Apex, Fuquay, Clayton, North Raleigh, and Wake Forest. Does anyone know someone out there that would be willing to show us around? If you do, please PM me. Can't wait!
Thanks

We'll be there the same time you are AND looking at the exact same places We just might run into you! We're bringing a GPS, renting a car, and our friends will escort us during the weekend. Good luck and have fun!!

p.s...I put together a mini-spreadsheet of some of the new homes we are going to look at. If you happen to walk through any of them and take notes, I'd love to add your finds to my little database Just in case you are interested:

Hi there,

Lots of luck with your trip down! If what you are asking about is a realtor, I love our realtor that we are using and if you PM me, I would be glad to give you her info. She also has her own website Jeannie

I peeked at your spreadsheet to show to a friend..FANTASTIC! For the KB homes at Cobblestone, Anderson homes is also right on the same strip (East Champion St). You will hit Anderson first, but I suggest looking at KB first though. ASK THE SALES PERSON HOW MUCH THE UPGRADES WOULD COST IN THOSE MODEL HOMES...if they say, "I dont know", I would pass. I'm hoping they got a better sales pitch then the one we had when we first looked. The insides are gorgeus BUT, when we asked to get an ideal ballpark, you could tell by the look on her face that she lost us. She immediately looked to the floor and said, "I dont know". After that, she kind of didnt give us much attention. Hit up Anderson, ASK ONLY FOR CARYLE. She's amazing.

There's a Smithfields right up the road on Hwy 70, great place for some Carolina bbq, sweet tea, hush puppies..the works! McCalls is good too, its a buffet but their food quality has gone down a bit. Also, when you come out of Cobblestone onto Hwy 70, stay straight and that will take you into downtown Clayton.

Good luck!!!

Heather

Yikes, I went there 8 years ago, had a real nice person Beth McCute, I do think. I stayed at the hotel near the Crabtree Mall. She was real kind, and showed me all around. I loved Apex, Haddon Hall, however ended up in Florida. Cary was way too much $$$$ for me. I also did like Raleigh. she lived in Fuquary, and loved Cary, but moved to Apex.

By the way DR HORTON is building some pretty homes in Wendell right outside of Knightdale. It is still in Wake County limits.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to add that to my list Everyone should print that spreadsheet when they go to look at the house... tell them the "internet is watching" hehe!

I'm SO glad this forum is here and that we can all network... if anything to share that delightful info on the hush puppies and sweet tea! We are so excited, less than a week and we'll be there !!!
