Could anyone let me know if they have gone to Sunrise Dental or Morrison & Lloyd, DDS PA dental office and if they love or hate it. I need some opinions. Or maybe some good recommendations for dental offices. I need to get a crown and maybe a root canal. Thanks!

This is just hearsay but I believe Sunrise Dental is known to be good but very pricey - I would love to go there as it is near my house but I am too afraid of the expense. I too am in search of a reasonably priced dentist in the area. I had heard really good things about Wells Family Dentistry, but turns out they are out of network with BCBS.

The lady at Sunrise Dental, said they were running a special. Normally 313 for exam xrays and cleaning. Special being 99 dollars. I do not have dental insurance as of yet.

I love Sunrise. Excellent service, but it is pricey. The special is probably for new clients. Worth it.

I tried Howarth. ('Nuff said.)

We've used Dr. Devine at Howarth almost 15 years. He is the best.

Not to hijack the thread, but I know there are a ton of dental threads floating, so I hate to start a new one.

I went to the dentist courtesy of groupon and have a tiny cavity that needs to be filled. They said it will be $182. Does anyone know how this price compares to other dentists in the area? Please PM me if you don't want to post here. Also, have you been to a dentist in the area, then took the xrays and info to another dentist for tx? Or would the next dentist make me pay for an exam before they would do the filling? Thanks!!!

Anyone had porcelain veneers done in this area? My wife needs to get them done due to the amount of fillings she has had due to cavities on her top teeth. She has gone to Ashley Mann, DDS in Cary and has been quoted about $800/tooth for the veneers.

I don't know what they charge, but I know Sunrise Dental did them for someone I know, for four top front teeth (due to an accident), and the result was incredible. They looked exactly like the original teeth, which had been in beautiful shape. The woman who did them went around to everyone in the office and asked for their opinions on colors when she first started. She went above and beyond to get it right, and the results were stunning.

I am another one who highly recommends Sunrise Dental. Their prices must be somewhat reasonable because my cleanings and x-rays are covered 100% by insurance. (I have had dentists in the past charge a "co-pay" to cover the portion of their fees not covered by insurance.

I am a patient of Sunrise Dental in Durham, and I absolutely adore Dr. Hanson!
