What do we have a discrepancy between our local weather forecaster and the weather 'I chase hurricane's' channel weather person? Say it isn't so!

As our local motto states: 'In Greg Fishel we trust!' He said it should slide north of the triangle and that's good enough for me!

But I will have the shovel at the ready.

As I recall, the 2005 storm was a one-day event and it only affected those actually caught in traffic that day. Maybe you mean the 2002 ice storm, where power was out for several days? I think 2005 was a pretty "non-event" winter other than that freak Jan 19 afternoon snow.

And as people say, it's not the snow itself, it's the days afterwards, if you're trapped at home. AND, like many "sociological phenomena", there is the knowledge that "many people are going to freak out and buy milk, so if I am going to want milk, I'd better buy it now before they run out", which of course just fuels the "frenzy" even more.

We try to stay a bit ahead on food, but usually wind up short of something.

Looks like another blown forecast. It's 12:30 on Saturday morning, and now rain or snow to speak of. Let's hope they're just as wrong about Monday.

I was just at Lowes Food and the bread and milk were flying off the shelves.

Panic has ensued.

Now they seem to be saying it will hit earlier on Monday as opposed to Monday late afternoon/night. And that the worst snow will be west of here....but who knows?

Looks like now they are saying starting as snow on Monday than freezing rain and than rain and Tuesday more freezing rain switching to more rain. So it looks like mostly freezing rain and rain than snow.....but I guess stay tuned!

Visited HT today and bought some more milk and their shelves were full of milk, bread, eggs, so no panic up here in Wake Forest yet!

I swear I saw at least 6 snow flakes.....or maybe I was hallucinating but then my neighbor was hallucinating too cause we both hit the road at the same minute. At least I got that chore over with.
