I had a pizza from Capital Creations last week and it was delicious. I cannot relay consistency because it was a new discovery for us (but recommended by work colleagues for whom it is a long-standing favorite). They have three Raleigh locations. I have never been impressed by Over the Falls....is La Foresta that much better?
My favorite is still Pergamon's in Creedmoor.
I really like La Foresta, not only for the pizza, but for many of their dishes. We tend to go there on friday nights, and they give the kids pizza dough to play with while we wait!
I wasn't impressed with over the falls the first time I went, but I have been back recently and had the maui pizza (ham and pineapple) it was quite good.
Tony's Pizza behind Carmax off of Hwy. 70 & ebenezer Church Rd. is really good. I've had Pizza there several times and it's as close as NY Pizza as I've had down here. It's a pretty new place...
I have no idea how far it is from you, but Randy's pizza totally satisfies my NYC/NJ pizza cravings. With extra cheese it's exactly the same. I've only been to the Durham/MLK and RTP locations - it might be worth the trip to the Morrisville one?

Growing up in Brookly, NY I've always been in search for good pizza when I lived in Annapolis, MD and now in Wilmington, NC. Next to the best pizza I've ever had is Ledo's Pizza and there is one in Raleigh. In Wilmington...I stumbled upon a truly NY pizza place called Brooklyn Pizza. It's run by someone who comes from the same place I grew up...in Sheepshead Bay and his pizza is GOOD! Brooklyn Pizza is on Market Street not far from Military Cutoff street area.
