bg2ntst....
A) How in the world do you afford the constant eating out?
B) How are you not horribly overweight?
C) I'M SO JEALOUS lol! I get hungry every time I read your reviews on here!
LOL!!!
1. I only get one slice of cheese pizza at each place. So, like today, that was about $10. Also, I rarely eat out during the week and I do the pizza thing only on Sat or Sun.
2. One slice of cheese pizza is only about 300 calories so, with 4 slices, I only consumed roughly 1200 calories, leaving room for 600-800 more calories for the rest of the day. Also, I work out very hard 6 days a week, then I take "pizza day" off from the gym.
Yesterday tried Teddy's on Western and J&S in Apex.
Teddy's was OK - 7.0
J&S had an unusual taste I couldn't identify, but the more of the slice I ate the more I liked it. I might try it again next weekend and maybe inquire about the taste. It's probably a trade secret... or maybe something I don't want to know. LOL!! 8.5
Today tried Michelangelo's on Harrison. They use a conveyor oven...and have a buffet...to me, those are normally signs of a mediocre product. Nonetheless, the slice (thankfully not pulled from the buffet - for which there was not a single customer at 2 PM on a Sunday) was OK, but not great like I've heard tell. Maybe I was at the wrong location?? 6.5
Also hit up Italian Pizzeria in North Durham. Pretty good slice, but it had a spot of missing cheese right in the middle of the slice. What's up with that? Fill it in, guys! Still, tasted pretty good. 7.5
Vic's at City Market downtown...Yum! Close second would be The Point in Five Points. Lilly's is ok, but you don't go there for a traditional slice of pie. Moonlight Pizza another favorite spot!

That's my family's favorite pizza joint.
They also have a location in downtown Varina. Fortunately, I'm equidistant from both.
I love the pizza at piccola italia in Cameron Village and think it is the best pizza I've eaten in the area out of the places that I've been too. I always avoid the nationwide chains but do like Amantes.
Tried Pierro's and Tony's in Fayetteville yesterday. Both had slightly higher prices for their slice than in the Triangle, but the slices were also a little larger.
Pierro's was VERY good. 9.0
Tony's was OK taste-wise, but so thin and the dough was so mushy, I felt like I was eating just cheese. I need dough that is distinguishable from the sauce and cheese. 7.0
Burke St. Pizza in W-F. Excelente!!! 9.5 for taste and a VERY large slice.
NY Pizza in Greensboro. 7.5
Dominic's in Cary. Pretty good. 8.0, but I had slight stomach cramps later in the night. Makes me wonder.
Also had Dominic's in Poyner Place Shopping Center across from Triangle Town Center. Was kinda hard to find - weird location. Not sure if related to the aforementioned Dominic's in Cary. But the slice was big...and good. 8.5
Lastly, tried Asiago's in Rolesville. Very tasty slice. 8.5 - I was joking with the lady who owns it. She's from England, making New Jersey style pizza (so their sign says) in North Carolina. Thought that was kinda funny.
Burke St. Pizza is in Winston-Salem, near WFU. I was a little confused due to the heat. LOL!!
