Default Need help with finding a townhouse to rent in Wake Forest area.

My GF and I just moved in to Hedingham and are renting a townhouse there, but have come to be very unhappy with our choice. We moved from GA and it was a last minute move as she secured a job, and we were recommended Hedingham by a few people who we know, who live in Raleigh. We liked it a first, but have come to realize the surrounding area is terrible and ghetto (New Bern Ave) and don't feel that safe staying here for the rest of the year long lease.

My two questions are:

1. Does anyone know if Hedingham, allows you to break a lease, and if so how much is it and also I assume there needs to be a sub leaser, but do they charge you any other fees for breaking early?

2. In Wake Forest are there any nice 2 bedroom/2 bath townhouses that are in a quiet and safe neighborhood?

I don't like the hedingham side of Raleigh at all and didn't care for the downtown area either, but would like to find something in Wake Forest that is nice and quiet, and visit Raleigh when we need too.

Any suggestions would be great...

Is the Heritage development too far out for you? If not, Bexley at Heritage has nicer apartments/townhomes, and I've seen some of the smaller row homes & townhomes within the development itself go up for rent recently (as in, the past two weeks). The area is rather nice and friendly. Downtown Wake Forest, near the Baptist college, is quiet and understated. You might find a small house or duplex to rent out there as well.
