You can look at most of Raleigh and do better than Orlando, I think.

There are so many factors it is difficult to narrow it down.
Do you want to live in the city, near suburbs, small towns, or rural?

What type of home will you seek, condo, townhome, detached single family? Own or Rent?
Price will be a factor, of course.
What type of work will you seek and how close to work do you prefer to live?

Schools tend to be very good overall, with some exceptions.
