When I read the report I was pleased that finally there will be something in the Cary Park / Amberly area of West Cary to compete with Harris Teeter. Unfortunately it seems to be a Walgreens, following the usual pattern of locating pharmacies across the road from each other, with a CVS there for 7 years.
So at least it answers the question about the 'great mound' of earth that seems to have appeared from nowhere recently on that corner of Green level across the road from Harris Teeter.
And here is the plan for the Walgreens - lets hope Sheetz build a gas station on part of the development site as there is no gas station in area except the way overpriced Marathon and BP on NC55
With all the housing construction along Green Level Road I am amazed that it has taken commerical developers so long to get their act together. There must be 25,000 people living in the surrounding area served by Harris Teeter and an unflattering collection of other businesses in Cary Park Town Center. Hopefully the other corner of Green Level and Carpenter Firestation will also be developed soon and include a decent restaurant and bar as the area is crying out for something better than Los Tres Magueyes, Mcdonalds and Dunkin Donuts.
Question: What size grocery fits in the grocery parcel? Also, do I see another bank?! What else has multiple drive through lanes (beyond two)?
If the supermarket is between 45,000 to 55,000 square feet, it would be a choice of Publix or Walmart Neighborhood Market. Either chain provides the necessities of food and pharmacy.

Agreed that Publix is miles away, but it's the only one currently on Publix website for a Raleigh area. I'll take anything that's not another Harris Teeter.
