Where are you living now? Just wondering what may or may not be culture shock to you.

We live about 20 minutes from Willow Spring, and from what I can tell, it's a smallish town, with lots of open space. Great bbq at Stephenson's.

Although Willow Spring is bigger than most think, it still is not exactly "town"-ish. Not to mention, parts of it are in Wake County and others are in Johnston. That alone will deem what specific kind of information you should seek.

If you'll use the "Search" function of this board and Willow Springs (or for that matter, do a search in Google), you will find plenty, but really, it's hard for people to give "any and all" information. Can you be more specific with your questions? Here is the town's own page, for some basics, to get you thinking of more specific questions.

White Oak Shopping Center is just down I-40 in Garner (Wake County). Many big box stores there for decent shopping, Best Buy, PetSmart, Target to name a few. Most of the restaurants are chains with a few exceptions here and there. You may want to do a few searches on here as this area is discussed fairly frequently. Oh, and there are plenty of NY'ers in the area to make you feel more at home!

seriously, willow spring is SMALL. most of your 'shopping' and 'dining' options (aside from grocery store maybe a walmart (not sure) and maybe fast food and a few local joints) will be in fuquay, garner, and on up into raleigh.
