Our Pastor at St. Catherine's of Siena, Father John passed away early this week there will be a memorial service tonight at 6PM.

Although I have only known him for a short while I really felt drawn to him and his passion for the church and us parishioners.

He will be missed!

Wow. Thanks for letting us know. I didn't know him well ( we do not go to church there but my daughter went to the nursery school) but he seemed really friendly & outgoing. We will pray for him & his family.

Default This is sad news...

We were shocked by this sudden news having just seen him on Sunday.
Does anyone know if this was related to the comments he made a couple of Sunday's prior regarding his kidney issues and medication?
He was such an inspiration and the embodiment of the parish. This goes to show us how we need to embrace each and everyday!

We went to the mass for Fr. John this evening. There was no specific mention of exactly what happened but his battle with various illness was mentioned.

The Church was packed just as Father John would have wanted it

Great priest. Baptized both my kids when he was at St. Raphael. A primary reason we joined St. Raphael.
