It's not that NC is hotter, it's just that it lasts longer than the north. Humidity is high, but so are many other states. The weather is very overstated here.

Oh, give it time. It's just getting started, LOL!

Exactly. This is barely anything pollen-wise, or heat-wise for that matter.

Yeh...check out the pines, they are pollen-laden! We've got a long way to go...luckily the rain tomorrow night into Friday morning should help.

I read about some store selling local honey in our area. I could not find the post again.

Does any one have this information?

There are several vendors at the State Farmers' Market that sell local honey. Bee Blessed is my favorite of the bunch!

I thought the Bradford Pear trees might have had something to do with it, but they are all bloomed here in my neighborhood and starting to get stinky already, so I guess they are not the culprits. Anyone want to give me a heads up so I don't make the mistake of leaving my windows open again like I did last year?
I am in Connecticut but I think that the pollen this year is going to be far worse than any other. I am already sneezing out of control at times and it is only April! Good idea in your area that perhaps you get an early start on preparing for the pollen if that is at all a possibility. Have a nice Spring!

This is just the beginning. The pollen hasn't fully dumped yet.

The summers aren't too much hotter or more humid than in the NE, though they are generally hotter and more humid on average AND they last longer.
