Pollen.com shows that our pollen is Oak, Birch and Juniper, with today being the highest count for the next 4 days. It states that falling temps and rain will clear some of it away and counts will fall over the next 3 days. No pine showing. Pollen.com - Free 4-Day Allergy Forecast for AUSTIN, TX
This week of the year is usually one of the worst for me as I am allergic to oak. I know it's not juniper otherwise I'd be sneezing when I drink my gin and tonic Gin is made from juniper berries.
PS - the link states "Austin" but it's actually for Raleigh, I put in zip 27601

Reason: ps
Yep, as stated, the pine pollen is gone. That doesn't mean that we're out of the woods though. There are still plenty of other trees and plants spreading pollen.
Last year the yellow explosion was Final Four weekend...first weekend of April. I remember skipping zyrtec for just two days while in Indy and coming back to a miserable, yellow world that didn't exist 2 days earlier.
Every year....Valentine's Day marks the start of zyrtec, Bradford pears mark the start of basketball tourney time (and sudafed and very expensive antihistamine eyedrops), Final Four is the yellow explosion, and 4th of July is a break from all the antihistamines until it all starts again in the fall.
Winter is definitely my favorite North Carolina season!
Glad I posted this last year to reference. At first I thought I had a cold earlier this week, but now looks like the big 3 (zyrtec, sudafed, and eyedrops) have just started for me for the next several months...
I am so not looking forward to spring allergies. I hope its not going to be too terrible.
