For the last couple of days, I've had horrible problems getting to my Roadrunner email through the webmail portal. I don't like Outlook, so this is how "I always access RR. But this week, it's taken F O R E V E R just to pull up the list of messages, and same thing to get one to open.

Anybody else locally experience this?

Mine is doing the same thing. Its absolutely ridiculous. Its done it before but lately, its been ongoing for several days. Quite often, it just "times out" because it takes so long.

Of all the websites I visit, my own ISPs homepage is by far, the slowest.

As they used to say on AOL - "me too". RR webmail is terrible. Whenever you call for help, they go through the scripts asking "what browser are you using, what OS do you have" etc.

I know you don't like Outlook, but have you tried Thunderbird? It's what I use to read email, and I've been happy with it.

Mozilla Thunderbird

Bingo. Using the email service from your ISP is just another way they lock you into their service. When you change ISPs, you've gotta give all your friends your new email address. Email is basically free these days, so there's no reason to use the address provided by your ISP.

I just did the 24/7 live chat with rr customer service (for what that's worth). This was Norma's quote,

"as per our records there is an webmail outage going on in your area because of that you are unable to access webmail.
Many customers have brought this to our notice."
