It seems a bit ridiculous using your modernized, white-bread conception of Christianity to criticize anyone for displaying a "cult like mentality" etc., etc. Talk about pot and kettle....

Besides, we're really only talking about a matter of degree, anyway. If they don't want to drink alcohol, decide to chant different songs, etc., and openly discriminate against other religions, it all seems par for the course.

Discrimination against homosexuals certainly seems mainstream amongst religious people. When did that become "un-Christian"??? You should send out another memo, cuz' most Christians seems to have missed the first one. I think my Congressman is out there now looking to define marriage as only between a man and a woman - since it's no doubt the Christian thing to do.

Let the Seminarians be. So long as they don't start ringing my doorbell, or chanting in my backyard, or playing with snakes near my house, whatever. Same for the Mormons. Same for the Babtists. Same for Nascar fans. Or American Idol worshipers.

Modernity is tough. Whatever gets you through the day.... But please, there is nothing more unseemly than a "holier than thou" - or rather a "more Christian than thou" - attitude between minor variations of the same cult.

The Well did close but they are renovating a big house down the street- (south)
It looks like it will be a great space for coffee but it will not be "walkable" from the rest of the town.

I was referring to what they profess to be-I guess it is a disgust with all cookie cutter "Christians". Also it is my perception of them not my conception of Christianity.
