We just got our Wideband here last week. It's pretty sweet.
Where is "here"? RR is getting ridiculously slow in the evenings where I am (N Raleigh near 540) and we don't even watch videos, etc (though people "upstream" of us seem to be watching 5 channels of Hulu simultaneously).

I'm looking to setup internet service in Apex (area code 27502).
I got a mailer indicating AT&T Uverse is now serving Apex?
I also got another AT&T add claiming high speed internet as low as $14.95/month.

Any suggestions on cheapest/best internet service route to go with?
AT&T? Time Warner Roadrunner?

I'm actually out of town at the moment sitting in my mothers living room and just uploaded a file I commonly transfer almost daily and after I clicked "upload" watched it happen in about ten seconds. Back at home using TWC Turbo the same file takes about five minutes to transfer. And let's not even discuss download/streaming speeds.

I ping AT&T almost daily praying they'll tell me that U-verse is now available at my house.
I second this post, I have issues with the "Turbo" upload speed too. I work from home and need to send large amount of data (actually, not that large, less than 100M) twice or three times a week. It took forever, and there's no noticeable difference after changing to Turbo services. Very frustrated with TWC about this, but don't know if there are other options for me living in west Cary.

Personally I like the Extreme version, it's 69/month and it's 30/5mbps.

Probably what I'll opt for. $55 for 12 months, then who knows.

OK I take back my comment - I was confusing "Turbo" with "Powerboost." Regardless - the upload speeds for all of the services (but for the new wideband) are miserably slow.
