Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some great tasting BBQ joints in the area. I'm preferably looking for places that cook their pigs with wood (kind of few and far between it seems like). I'm moving to Raleigh this summer from the Hampton Roads area, so I'd like to gather some people's opinions and try some places out.

What kind of BBQ? You mentioned pig, which probably rules out Texas brisket, but there are lots of varieties of pig, including two in NC (Eastern vs Western/Lexington).

Backyard BBQ Pit on 55 in Durham. Seriously, best food ever! We take every visitor there and each person has left becoming a Backyard BBQ addict

....just thinking about it I may have to go there for dinner tonight... oh so good!

Backyard BBQ
Allen & Sons
Bullocks
The Pit
Clyde Coopers

I had Q Shack yesterday and thought it was decent. Not sure if that's NC BBQ.

Don't you people ever get tired of answering the same "Where to find good BBQ?" question every other week?
