Hi! I'm looking for any feedback on Heartwood Montessori School in Cary. We'll be renting a place in Cary and I'm looking for a Montessori school for my youngest son (18 months old).

Anyone have a child there or know of someone who does (did)?

Thanks so much!!

We looked into this school for our son several years ago. He's now 8 but ultimately we decided against sending him there and he went to Goddard in Cary.

Our son was diagnosed with asthma at 3 and although the teachers and staff seemed very nice, the building is old and there were obvious signs of leaking in the celing as well as evidence of mold. There was also a musty smell. These factors gave us great concern for his asthma and we decided against it. I believe I also heard a couple years ago that they had an incident with a lost child. Try googling it and see if it was them because I do not recall for sure but think it was them.

Good luck in your search

Wow, thanks so much for the insight. I googled it and you are right about the girls missing from the school (found safe thankfully!). Will continue the search!

Your welcome. Check out Goddard School on Maynard rd in Cary. They were fantastic for our son. He entered kindergarten at a 3 rd grade reading level. Really nice people.

I sent the Goddard school a message asking about a tour while we're there next month. Just curious....ballpark, do you know about how much they charge? Thanks!

My son has been out for awhile since he is in second grade now. They were obviously more expensive than some of the off-brand daycares but when my sone went they were in line with all the big name ones like Primrose, etc. I really do not recall though for sure, sorry. If I had to guess I'd say they are 800-900 a month, which is typical for the name daycares.
