Coming to town for an overnight business trip and a meeting in Cary. Looking along the lines of Hampton Inn, Country Inn, La Quinta type hotel that's in a safe area with a few places to eat close by (maybe even an adult beverage). Thanks.

Do you know what part of Cary you need to be close to?

There's a new Embassy Suites behind Brier Creek (near hwy 70 and Brier Creek Parkway). Plenty of restaurants nearby. What part of Cary will you be near?

N Academy @ Town Hall.

I've been doing a little research, How's The Days Inn near the Airport?

I think Embassy Suites on Harrison Ave would be closest, with several choices of restaurants around. You could also go over to Crossroads area. There's a Holiday Inn (on Dillard Dr) and a Four Points Sheraton. Several restaurants near there as well.

Theres a Hampton Inn close by as well (Chapel Hill Rd and I-40 exit 290) but I don't think there's much in the way of restaurants near by.

I'd go with either of the ones listed above. The Embassy Suites are very nice and has a great bar and restaurant, plus it's close to several very good places to eat (walking distance). But the Hampton Inn on Chapel Hill Road is is very nice too and closer to where you would need to be (although the Embassy Suites isn't far at all). There are also some nice places to eat and drink downtown like Spirits, Chatham Street Cafe and Maximilian's, but nothing is really walking distance from it.
You'd be fine with either one!
The Days Inn is fine, but not very close to downtown Cary.

There's also a Comfort Suites across from the RBC. You could walk to Backyard Bistro. And its still pretty convenient to Cary Town Hall.

Agree that Embassy Suites on Harrison would be quite convenient and it is in a nice location with plenty of nice places to eat! Plus it's a nice hotel

The Hampton Inn on Chapel Hill Road passed muster with my dad/stepmother - and they are pretty picky!
