Hi,

About a month ago I reported a case involving forged contract to Wake county police department. After three days I was assigned a detective. I have yet to heard back from the detective to find out the status of my case. Does anyone has similar experience? I call about every three days and leave voicemail requesting information and to be called back. What can I do to get some response form the police department?

Contact a senior officer at the sheriff's office.

Perhaps the assigned officer is unavailable.

You could try sending a letter and/or email to the detective or go into the police station in person. If that doesn't work, you could email/send a letter to the person in charge of the detectives (or police chief if it's a smaller dept).

Are you sure you are contacting the right department? There is the Wake County Sheriff's Dept and then the City of Raleigh Police dept.

RaleighLass, first I was advised by a magistrate to report the incident to Wake county sheriff's dept. When I called them they directed me to another police number so am sure it is a City of Raleigh police dept. rather then Sheriff's Dept.

I will try to find out who the police chief is as TwinPrincesses has pointed out.
