If you are in an incorporated city/town they may provide those services than if you would have to do it independently. Don't know about each place's prices.
I do know that we were paying Republic Waste something like $50/mo to pick up the trash once a week.
I pay $13 per month for trash including recycling every other week inside Clayton city limits. Water and sewer depend on how much you use. My bills run about 50-60 per month for water and sewer (not including outside water use). That is for a family of four- one of whom is a teen who takes at least 2 showers per day.
In North Raleigh, I pay $68 per quarter for trash pickup, which runs about $22 a month. This includes weekly trash pickup and weekly recycling. I'm on community well, run by Aqua. Water runs around $40 a month without using my sprinkler system, about double if I also water the yard. I'm currently on septic so I don't pay for sewer. My previous house also had a community sewer system, and that ran about the same per month as water (i.e., it was about $40 a month).
So, the costs would be:
- $22 trash
- $40 water (if not on well)
- $40 sewer (if not on septic)
City taxes usually cover the trash pickup and subsidize water and sewer. Since I'm outside the city, I don't have any city taxes but have to pay for these types of services out-of-pocket. Its been a while, but the last time I figured out the cost difference, I found paying for services came in anywhere between 1/4 and 1/2 of city taxes.
