Does anyone know anything about the Georgian Village townhomes in Cary Park? More specifically, do they have plans to enlarge this area and build more town homes than what is currently there? I ask because we are under agreement and set to close on a house on Alden Bridge Drive in Cary Park in September, which is the street adjacent to these townhomes. Right now, our house-to-be has a nice view, across the street, of the woods from the front porch. Last night I was examining the site map of Cary Park on their website and it looked like the area that is currently woods was labeled Georgian Village townhomes and had little green boxes indicating that townhomes were there. This map was dated 2004 and is an artist's rendering and subject to change but I am curious. Will this land stay as it is, or am I going to wake up one morning to a bulldozer clearing the trees and land? The townhomes are nice so I wouldn't mind them being across the street (although the woods would be nicer for privacy) but its dealing with the construction I am worried about. Thanks for any knowledge or input on this

The owner of the land (5.76 acres) across from the houses on Alden Bridge between the buffers (Yates Store Road on one end and the retention pond on the other) is listed on the Wake County tax register as "Cary Park Townhomes LLC" as of December 2005. I believe that the intention is to expand the Georgian Village townhomes into that parcel. I'd say that the reason the land is still vacant is that the Georgian Village project has not been as quick a sell-through as the builder originally expected.
So-the answer to your question is YES, at some point you can expect there to be townhomes on that property. When, I don't know.
