That was directed to the lady that I normally call sweetie, and was in response to what she posted. That is not you.

You and your wife (sock puppet, pretty much the same thing in this case) keep stating that Raleigh's traffic is so much worse than Houston, based on the area you lived in. You've based an entire region's traffic on that small area. As I said before, it was your choice to live in Clayton. The traffic in Raleigh is not bad everywhere. Sure, there are some bad spots - but name me a city in the U.S. that doesn't have its bad spots.

On the other hand, Houston's traffic as a whole pretty much sucks. No matter what major thoroughfare you take, you'll be sitting in traffic. The time of day doesn't really matter, either. Even if you move close to work, there will be times you want to enjoy the other things Houston has to offer, and you'll sit in traffic then. That's simply not the case here.

I'm happy you love Houston. I'm sorry you have to come back here. But it would be nice if you would stop dumping on Raleigh all over these boards. You seem to have an obsession with it. Maybe it would be best for all concerned if you didn't come back to Raleigh at all. I know we won't miss you.
Sorry, why is this permitted on these forums? Insulting his wife as well?

She was part of the Lights 'N Sirens syndicate

I suppose none of the New Jersey *wiseguys* are coming down for warmer climates (and I do mean warmer)?

Oh yeah...

One week does not a milder climate make.

And the tradeoff?

Houstonians are more likely to be enjoying a margarita in shorts and flipflops on New Years Eve instead of shivering under an oversized falling acorn.

This is making me laugh now. If you want to believe that Houston is cooler than Raleigh in the summer, go right ahead. If you want to believe that there's as much traffic and crime in Raleigh as there is in Houston, keep on fooling yourself.

As far as drinking margaritas and wearing flip flops on New Year's Eve, good for you. To each his own. I'd much rather have four real seasons, thank you.

Preferences are one thing - facts are another. Don't let your preference cloud the facts.

People get real here. There is no way you can compare Summer weather in Raleigh to summer weather in Houston based on a couple of weeks. Remember a few weeks ago we had a couple of days with a high of 80 and no humidity. Houston will always be hotter than Raleigh on average and it will always be more humid on average. There is no comparison!

To each their own indeed. That was how I was wanting to keep this all to start with, but people had to get offended.

If I want to see snow I am not a very long flight from the real mountains - the Rockies.
