Cool "KIDS EAT FREE" restaraunts?

Can someone name any "kids eat free" restaurants ? We went to O'Charleys the other day, thinking that the kids still could eat free there. Nope. Guess they did away with that?

Any others?

I was in the Marble Slab Creamery in Wakefiled Commons yesterday and they had a sign up about kids getting free ice cream with and adult purchase. Can't remeber what days it was though. Not sure if that really counts!

It doesn't cost much to feed kids. Who cares if it's free or not?

They're just charging you more to eat there.

I have to disagree! It was a big help when you could take your kids to ocharley's and they could eat free, which would easily save you 5 bucks a pop, and if you have more than one kid, that is saving money!

I cannot think of any restaurants that consistently do that, like ocharley's, which has now changed!

And, on a side note, I think there is a sticky on the trianglemommies group about kids eat free which has a good list of the restaurant and which nights are eat free nights.

That is the most comprehensive list I have seen, and you also may want to check the carolinaparent magazine online for their list.

I guess it evens out when you consider the ones who get large platefuls of food for nothing and they come back smeared around and uneaten.

Don't mind me....my sometimes-cynicism comes from being on the "service" end of the service industry...not everyone's a bad person. Point remains though that nothing is free - the restaurant could mark everything else down across the board a notch or two and come out the same as they do feeding the kids pro bono. Just economics. The parents really do benefit from restaurants that do such promotions, but it is a bit annoying when a few of them assume that it is done everywhere and that they are entitled to it.

Onward....there are lots of restaurants where kids eat free. Many businesses cater to the Triangle's family-oriented, to the benefit of many parents.

IIRC the Chick-Fil-A at the White Oak shopping center in Garner does the same thing as the one in Garner Town Square.

You are right...they are charging us all more if they let kids eat free. If you can't afford to pay for your own children when going to a restaurant - don't go to that restaurant. (Yes, I know - this will be a wildly unpopular statement.)

Reduces price menu for kids that don't like what is on the menu is one thing...but I really don't get the idea that kids are special enough that they don't have to be paid for what they get.

Something I will never understand.
