So the Republicans didn't think the kids are worth a penny a piece. I wonder how quickly we all find out that this so called "non-partisan" organization, which gets funding from the Heritage Center plans to make all public education in NC private. Well, looks who's heading it.....

Can he be deported back to NJ for treason to the principles of NC?

I'm willing to spearhead the effort. I really don't like him.

I'm shocked anyone hired him for anything. Obviously it's for his connection to the school board and not for his talent.

For those familiar with school board elections, how long will it take for us to get rid of him?

(He deserves the wrath.)

The way his board treated Dr. Del Burns is plenty of grounds for deportation. Dr. Burns was a great educator who was principal of two schools my son attended. The board's disrespect of this wonderful man should be criminal IMHO.

What disrespect? Burns didn't agree with the Board's policies and quit. Doesn't matter what side of the issue you're on - when a Board of Directors and CEO don't see eye-to-eye, the CEO's got to go.

I'm not a fan of this Board (and I no longer live in Wake) but I wasn't a fan of Burns either and was dismayed (when I did live in Wake) when he was promoted into the superintendent role. Perhaps some of the recent catastrophe could have been averted had an earlier Board had the wisdom to look outside and not perpetuate a troubled status quo sorely in need of change by simply promoting an insider.

Yeah, something is very fishy here. He's lived here all of 4 years, has no children, never worked in a school, and yet is somehow "the best candidate" to advise people on NC schools? Someone is grooming him for political office and paying his way to get there.

I agree, but they're fighting a losing battle.

He's not even remotely likable.

I agree with Francois....something fishy! Is there a Pope or Lundy behind this? I suspect 'agenda" with "T" being the front man. Tedesco and I once moved in the same circles. My take on him is VASTLY different from the one on his CV/profile and in the above link. if I were to apply his standards to translating my qualifications...why I'd be running for governor and amply qualified

Tedesco gets through by telling people just what they want to hear. I've met him twice. Both times he was in full on politician mode. The first time he was campaigning at my house, the second was last weekend...He was at a yard sale talking to an elderly gentlemen. He gave the man his phone number and when the mad asked about the area code, he said that he spent time in NJ building shelters for homeless children. It made me want to vomit just a little. I wouldn't trust anyone that aligns themselves with him.
