I was headed to the Greensboro Christmas Tree Shop this weekend and while looking up the directions I discover there is one in Fayetteville. I will be coming from the lower Jordan Lake area and the Fayetteville one is much closer. Has anyone here gone to the Fayetteville one yet? I've never been in Fayetteville, so I don't know what to expect.
Have you been to a Christmas tree shop? IMHO not worth the drive. They have lots of seasonal novelties and housewares, cheaply priced but not of particularly good quality. They won't have any Christmas things now if that's what your thinking. in fact, I have never known them to sell actual Christmas trees.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy shopping there and often supplement my gift giving there. But I would drive to fayetteville or Greensboro for it.
If you have been there and know what to expect and still want to go, by all means check Googlemaps to see which is closer and print off some directions. I can't live without my GPS!
It's on Skibo Rd, which will put you in the smack dab center of shopping heaven... or hell, depending
on your perspective. The area near Cross Creek Mall is packed with stores; you name it, it's there, LOL!
Traffic's a bit heavy, but otherwise the area is not dangerous, etc.

I have been to Christmas Tree Shops and love them. I travel a lot for my job and I get all kinds of travel goodies, along with other throw away household items.
I went the the Fayetteville one yesterday. It mapped out around 50 miles, instead of 90 miles to Greensboro. An easy drive. But Fayetteville? YIKES! Very run down. Glad to be back home.
I was just worried...I have a friend who went to Christmas Tree shops in December to buy a new artificial Christmas tree and was completely baffled when they did not have ANY trees at all.
Locally I'd probably go to Carolina Pottery or Tuesday morning or 5 Below for similar merchandise, but I'd love to know if there are any other places around here with that Christmas Tree Shops vibe.
