Default Experience Selling/Buying a used crib

Just wondering if anyone has had success in selling a used crib and if so, what avenues have you used besides Craigslist (other online sites, consignment shops?). If you have bought a new crib, I'd be curious to know where you looked for it.

As of June 28, 2011, it is illegal to sell (or even donate) a drop-side crib. So it's a bad time to be looking for a used one, and I wouldn't try to sell one since there would be liability concerns. TODAYMoms - Strict new crib regulations take effect today: Does your crib pass the test?

In all honesty there are two things I would not buy used for a child. A crib or a carseat. Its not worth the risk. We bought our non drop side crib from Target 4 years ago and it has since gone to crib heaven...but it was a great crib, and converted into a toddler bed when we were ready.

IMO, I think a crib and carseat are two things that should not be taken lightly, a carseat especially, as you don't know if it's been in a car accident.

With a crib, I might consider buying a used one if it had the manual attached to it and I could call the manufacturer with questions.
